Malic Acid

Malic acid, derived from apples, is a larger, milder AHA often used to support stronger acids rather than star alone — it gently exfoliates and balances skin's pH while being well-tolerated by sensitive skin. You'll usually find it in blended formulas that pair it with glycolic or lactic acid for a smoother, more rounded exfoliation. A good entry point for acid-cautious skin. Gentle enough for most types, including Sensitive Skin.
