Pigmentation & Dark Spots
Dark spots, melasma and uneven tone come from excess melanin : triggered by sun, inflammation (often post-acne), and hormones. They're among the most common concerns in this region, where strong year-round sun makes pigmentation both more likely and more stubborn. The approach works on two fronts: fade what's there and prevent what's next. Vitamin C brightens and defends, niacinamide interrupts pigment transfer, and gentle azelaic acid targets spots while calming the skin. But the non-negotiable is daily SPF — without it, every other effort is undone by the next sun exposure. Results take patience, typically 8–12 weeks of consistency. Melasma in particular is stubborn and may need professional input.
