Oily skin overproduces sebum. It looks shiny within hours of cleansing, congests easily around the nose and forehead, and tends toward enlarged pores and recurring breakouts. The instinct is to strip — but stripped skin produces more oil, not less. The work is to balance. Use a gentle gel cleanser twice daily, a niacinamide serum to regulate sebum and refine pores, and a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizer (yes, still moisturize). Introduce salicylic acid 2–3 times weekly to clear pores from within. Avoid heavy oils, alcohol-based astringents, and over-cleansing.
