Pelican Bust Care Soap
70g
A rose-shaped bar for the part of the body that gets washed by accident.
Most body washing is done with whatever is in your hand, moving fast. The chest tends to get whatever is left over, which is unfortunate, because the skin there has a genuinely demanding job.
The cleavage sits in what Japanese skincare calls the body’s T-zone, with sebum production to match. The underbust spends the day warm, compressed and without airflow. The skin on the breast itself is thin and dries out easily. Three quite different needs, in an area about the size of a dinner plate.
Pelican built this bar around that. A soft konjac and sugar scrub with hibiscus-derived AHA for the rough patches, three natural clays and olive oil for sebum, persimmon tannin and green tea for freshness, and rose honey with pomegranate and damask rose for moisture. The shape is not decorative: there is a deep central hollow for the areas that are awkward to reach, and a textured surface for massaging across the rest.
It smells of sugared roses, which is the point at which most people stop reading and simply want one.
Why You’ll Love It
- A scrub gentle enough for thin skin. Konjac glucomannan and raffinose sugar beads, with hibiscus flower extract providing a mild AHA.
- Three natural clays. Kaolin, sea silt and pyrophyllite, alongside olive fruit oil, for sebum-prone areas.
- Persimmon tannin and green tea. Both long used in Japan for freshness in areas that stay warm and covered.
- Rose honey, pomegranate and damask rose. The moisture side of the formula, plus squalane, shea and aloe.
- A plant-based kettle-boiled soap base. No parabens, alcohol, mineral oil or synthetic colourants.
- A shape that does something. Central hollow for precise areas, textured surface for the rest.
- Sugar rose scent. Bergamot, verbena and lychee at the top, rose through the middle.
- It is a rose. Which makes it one of the better-looking objects you can leave in a bathroom, and an easy gift.
Three Areas, Three Problems
The cleavage produces a lot of oil and goes rough easily. It wants proper washing rather than a quick pass.
The underbust is warm, enclosed and pressed against fabric all day. Sweat collects, small bumps appear, and nothing about a hot climate helps.
The skin on the breast itself is thin and dries quickly. It wants foam and a light touch, not scrubbing.
The bar is shaped to handle all three differently, which is explained properly in the usage notes.
A Note Worth Reading
Pelican include something unusual with this product: a monthly self-examination guide, developed with Dr. Eisuke Fukuma, head of breast surgery and director of the breast centre at Kameda Medical Center in Japan.
The reasoning is simple. The shower is where most people are already paying attention to this part of the body, and a soap is a monthly reminder that arrives on its own.
We would rather point you to a proper medical source than print instructions on a shop page. In the UAE, the Friends of Cancer Patients Pink Caravan and your own doctor are the right places to start. It takes a few minutes a month.
Who It’s For
- Rough texture, small bumps or congestion across the chest and underbust
- Hot climates, long days, and anything with underwiring
- Anyone whose body care has never addressed this area specifically
- Gifting, where the rose shape and scent do most of the work for you
