Pelican Soap Scrub Peach
They ground up the soap and used it as the scrub. It should not work as well as it does.
The problem with body scrubs is the trade-off. Scrub particles exfoliate but do not clean, so you scrub, rinse, then wash again. Most people skip the second step and wonder why their skin feels coated.
Pelican’s solution, launched in 2025, is almost absurdly neat: grind the soap base itself into particles and use that as the scrub. It behaves like a scrub while you are massaging it in, then, as you add warm water, it dissolves into a thick lather and washes you. One product, two jobs, no residue, and nothing left on the skin that was not meant to be there.
Around that sit three more scrub particles at different sizes, four acids to soften the buildup first, and a formula that is roughly half corn oil, which is why skin feels cushioned rather than stripped afterwards.
Why You’ll Love It
- The soap scrub itself. Plant-derived, biodegradable, and it turns into foam as you add water rather than going down the drain as plastic.
- Four scrub sizes. Soap base, fine peach kernel for congestion, coarse salt and coarse cellulose from wood pulp. Different grades for different jobs.
- Four softening agents. Fermented Bulgarian rose honey with malic, lactic and citric acids, loosening the buildup before the scrub lifts it.
- Around half the formula is corn oil. This is the part you feel afterwards.
- Nine moisturising ingredients. Peach leaf and seed, kiwi, artichoke leaf, loquat leaf, aloe vera, vitamin C and green tea alongside the oil.
- Two products in one. Scrub once or twice a week, or lather it with a net and use it as a daily body wash.
- No parabens, synthetic colourants or silicones.
- A fragrance composed in Grasse. Apricot and peach over peach blossom and red fruits, finishing on musk. Unusually serious perfumery for a body scrub.
Why It Smells the Way It Does
Pelican had this fragrance composed in Grasse, the town in the south of France where most of the world’s fine perfume originates.
It opens on apricot and ripe peach, moves through peach blossom, white flowers and red fruits, and settles on musk. Most body scrubs smell of one note shouted loudly. This one has a structure, and it lingers pleasantly rather than announcing itself.
Within the Range
The Hip Care Soap bar is the original, and the one to start with at a lower price.
This Soap Scrub is the richer version: more scrub grades, considerably more moisture, and the ability to double as a body wash. At 180g it also lasts a good deal longer.
Both took the Grand Prix at the Girls Happy Style Best Smile Awards 2025, along with the body lotion in the same line.

- Rough or bumpy texture anywhere on the body
- Upper arms, thighs, elbows and knees
