ReFa Heart Brush

To protect the surface coating:

• Do not leave the brush soaking in water or hot water.
• Do not use it in the bathroom or anywhere it will get wet. If it does get wet, wipe away any droplets and allow it to air-dry fully.
• If styling products or cosmetics build up on the brush, do not use detergent. Wipe it with a soft cloth dampened with water and wrung out well.
• Do not use on pets. This is designed for human hair.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Store the cover on the brush when travelling to protect the pins from bending.

Start at the ends and work upward. Take a section of hair, brush gently through the last few inches until it moves freely, then begin a little higher. Working from the bottom up means you release each tangle rather than pushing it into a larger one.

Once the length runs clear, brush from root to tip in long, unhurried strokes. This is where the polishing pins do their work — the shine comes from repetition, not pressure.

With hair oil: apply your oil first, then brush. The pins distribute it evenly through the length, which both improves the finish and makes detangling easier.

While blow-drying: you can, but don't hold hot air on the brush continuously — sustained heat can distort the pins.

On the scalp: the rounded tips are comfortable for gentle scalp brushing. Use light pressure.

What makes the ReFa Heart Brush different from an ordinary hairbrush?

It uses a three-tier pin structure with two distinct pin types. Longer detangling pins catch and release knots from multiple angles, while shorter polishing pins smooth the hair's surface in the same stroke, adding shine.

Can the ReFa Heart Brush be used in the shower?

No. It is designed for dry hair and is not waterproof. If it does get wet, drain any water through the drainage hole, dry it in the shade, and only use it once fully dry. ReFa recommend the ION CARE BRUSH for use during shampooing.

Can you use it on permed or chemically treated hair?

Yes. Brush gently and gradually rather than forcing through tangles, working from the ends upward.

Can you use it over hair oil?

Yes, and ReFa recommend it. Brushing after applying oil distributes the product evenly through the hair and reduces the effort needed to detangle.

Is the ReFa Heart Brush suitable for men?

Yes. It is designed for all genders and hair types.

Can it be used on wigs, extensions, or hair implants?

No. The pins may catch and pull the hair out. ReFa advise against use on wigs, extensions, and for anyone with hair implants or partial hairpieces.

Are the brush pins replaceable?

No. If the pins spread or deform over long-term use, the brush should be replaced.

Why is the ReFa Heart Brush heart-shaped?

The shape is functional as well as decorative. It sits naturally in the hand and distributes grip pressure across the brush, which reduces the force transferred to the hair during brushing.
