Shake the bottle first, properly. The golden pigment settles between uses, and an unshaken bottle delivers the oil without the glow. Ten seconds is enough.

Use less than you think. Two or three drops covers an arm. Warm them between your palms first, then smooth over the skin.

Where. Shoulders, collarbones, décolletage, the length of the arms, the fronts of the shins. Anywhere that catches light.

Then wait. The fragrance develops on contact with skin and reaches its full character after ten or fifteen minutes. Apply before you dress rather than as you leave.

Best moments. After a bath or shower, while the skin is still slightly warm. After sun exposure, as a nourishing treatment. Before an evening out.

What does Soie d’Or mean?

It is French for golden silk, which describes both the finish and the texture.

Why does the bottle need shaking?

The golden pigment is suspended rather than dissolved, so it settles between uses. Shaking for about ten seconds redistributes it. Without that step the oil still nourishes the skin but delivers none of the shimmer.

Is the shimmer glittery?

No. The pigment is mica and titanium dioxide, milled finely enough to reflect light softly rather than sparkle. The effect reads as luminosity rather than as visible particles.

Does it transfer onto clothing?

It absorbs within a minute or two and leaves a satin finish rather than a wet film, so transfer is minimal once absorbed. Allow it to settle before dressing.

Can it be worn during the day?

It can, though it was composed for the evening. The fragrance is warm and low rather than fresh, and the golden finish reads best in soft light. It also works well applied after sun exposure, as a nourishing treatment.

Is it a fragrance or a skincare product?

Both. The oil phase is built around apricot kernel, rosehip and borage seed oils with vitamin E, while the fragrance is a full composition that develops on the skin over ten to fifteen minutes.
