Clear Turn's recovery mask has a second version, and it solves a specific problem: masking when your skin is breaking out. Most sheet masks are built on oils and emollients, which is exactly what congested skin doesn't want. This one is completely oil-free, generously soaked in a light watery essence, and built around salicylic acid.

The rest of the formula is the same restraint as its sibling. Eight things left out, nothing added for the sake of it, and a soft milky-touch sheet that sits comfortably on skin that's already irritated. Seven in a box.

Which One Do You Need?

This Acne Care version is for skin that's actively breaking out. It has salicylic acid, it's oil-free, and the essence is lighter.

What's Inside

Salicylic acid, the oil-soluble BHA. Because it dissolves in oil rather than water, it travels into the pore lining instead of sitting on the surface, which is why it's the standard choice for congestion rather than texture.

Dipotassium glycyrrhizate, from liquorice root, alongside calendula extract for calm.

Niacinamide and magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, a stable vitamin C derivative, for the look of a clearer, more even tone. Coix seed extract and pear juice ferment filtrate round it out, both quiet staples of Japanese formulation.

L-serine and natural vitamin E for comfort, because an acid mask still needs to leave skin feeling well.

If You're Dealing With Breakouts

This one has salicylic acid in it, which is the ingredient that actually gets inside a pore rather than working on the surface. It's a good thing to have, but it does mean a few rules.

Don't use this on the same day as any other acid, exfoliant or retinol. Don't use it every single night to begin with, twice a week is a sensible start. And wear sunscreen the next day, because acids make skin more sensitive to sun and we live somewhere with a great deal of it.

If your skin gets tight or flaky, that's too much, not too little. Space them out.

Also worth saying plainly: if you have painful, deep spots that don't come to a head, a sheet mask won't fix those. That's a conversation for a dermatologist, and there's no shame in it.
