A face wash should do one thing well and then get out of the way. This one does.

Kisocare’s Amino Washing Foam cleanses with potassium cocoyl glycinate, a mild surfactant made from coconut fatty acids and the amino acid glycine. It removes the day’s dirt and excess oil without stripping the skin. Around it sits a hydrating formula: a complex of amino acids similar to those in the skin’s natural moisturising factor, four forms of hyaluronic acid, glucosyl trehalose, and Lipidure®, which leaves a light moisture film on the skin. It contains no fragrance, colourants, alcohol, oil, silicones, parabens or sulphates.

It comes out of the pump already foamed, soft and fine, and rinses away cleanly. Skin feels fresh, comfortable and soft afterwards, never squeaky. Japanese customers mention that it doesn’t sting even on days when their skin feels sensitive.

Our note: The brand makes a great deal of its electrolysed water. We’re more interested in the parts we can name: a properly gentle amino acid cleanser, with enough hydration to make “mild” mean something. It is a face wash, not a makeup remover, so take off sunscreen and makeup first.

A first face wash that does no harm

If you’re just starting to look after your skin, this is a good place to begin. It’s fragrance-free and alcohol-free, and it cleans without leaving your face tight. Two or three pumps, a gentle massage, lukewarm water. That’s it. If you wear sunscreen to school, wash it off properly at night with a cleansing oil first, then use this.

How to USE

The pump dispenses ready-made foam.

Dispense two to three pumps into your palm and spread the foam evenly over the face.

Massage gently in circular movements, working from the bottom of the face upward, and let the foam cushion your fingers.

Rinse thoroughly with cool or lukewarm water. Don’t rub harshly.

Use morning and evening. At night, remove makeup and sunscreen first with a cleansing oil or balm.
