Every product here begins with the same ingredient. Pitera™ is produced by fermenting a specific yeast strain through a process unique to SK-II, yielding a bio-ingredient naturally rich in more than 50 vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and organic acids.
Its composition closely resembles the skin's own natural moisturising factors — which is why it absorbs with that characteristic weightless, water-like feel, and why the Facial Treatment Essence has remained essentially unchanged for four decades.
The Upgraded Skinpower Re-New Cream
This is what sets this kit apart from its sibling. The Re-New Cream is SK-II's newer formulation, pairing Pitera™ with peony root extract and a specialised soy-derived essence, supported by niacinamide and palmitoyl pentapeptide-4.

The Ritual, Step by Step
Cleanse. Lather the Gentle Cleanser and wash face and neck. Skin is left fresh rather than tight.
Prep. Sweep the Clear Lotion over a cotton pad, upward and outward. Three AHAs lift residual impurities and smooth the surface so everything after it works harder.
Treat. Press the Facial Treatment Essence into the skin. This is the step people mean when they say SK-II.
Seal. Massage in the Re-New Cream, upward and outward across face and neck.
